 Sr. Sales Engineering Specialist
Position Summary:
We have an exceptional career for a Sr. Sales Engineer Specialist with Avaya product experience to support the sales of converged communication networks, applications, and services to new and existing customers. The Sr. Sales Engineering Specialist will team with assigned Sales Account Managers in developing value-added solutions for customers. The successful candidate will lead technical discussions with clients, using a "consultative selling" approach focusing on the client's problems, showing how it could be solved with Altura products and services. The position also provides technical information and solutions to end users and telecommunications consultants.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discussions with clients.
- Team with assigned Account Managers. Following a consultative selling approach, identify customer problems, define requirements and develop appropriate solution.
- Develop an deliver effective technical presentations to audience of varied technical backgrounds.
- Proactively engage sales and branch personnel providing pre-sales technical support to ensure proposal represents optimum solution.
- Use Avaya ASD to design and quote medium to large technical solutions. Engage other partners as needed to provide total solution. Exporting pricing to Excel-based tool.
- Travel required.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
- Strong demonstrated presentation skills, with proven ability to effectively engage customers of varied technical backgrounds in productive technical discussions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of converged VoIP network systems, and peripheral equipment.
- Candidates having experience with consultative selling practices will be given preference.
- Minimum 3 + years technical sales support experience in sales of medium to large AVAYA Communication Manager networks and call center products.
- Converged Networking experience. Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent a plus.
- Avaya Certifications (ACACN, ACA, ACS, etc.) highly desired.
- Proficiency with Avaya ASD, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as contribute to team effort.
